The Ministries of the Pallottines of the Immaculate Conception Province

From the founding days of the Union of Catholic Apostolate, Saint Vincent Pallotti encouraged a flexibility in ministry. His call was the members be "involved in some way in the apostolate." Within the Immaculate Conception Province, Pallottine priests and brothers are involved in diverse and engaging ministries.

The Pallottine priests and brothers ministering at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School live out Saint Vincent Pallotti's call to "excite the faithful." Here, the Pallottines act as teachers and leaders to the young. Founded in 1954, the Pallottines have been engaged in active ministry at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School as campus ministers, teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Parish Ministry
Pallottine priests and brothers serve in various parishes, located primarily in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland. Each parish has its own character, bringing its own unique challenges and rewards.

At Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Brooklyn, New York, Pallottine priests and brothers minister to a primarily Hispanic population. Saint Vincent Pallotti prayed "May the most precious will of God be our food, our drink, our rest and our heaven on Earth." At Our Lady of Pompeii Church, the Pallottines work to meet both the physical and the spiritual needs of its congregation through extensive outreach to the local community.

In Fairview, New Jersey, the Pallottines minister to to the people of God at Our Lady of Grace Church (www.olgrc.org) . Outreach and uplift, from the children at a very active school, to the poor and the struggling, to youth and young adults, to the elderly in their homes are the hallmarks of the Pallottines' ministry at Our Lady of Grace. The collaborative spirit of the Union of Catholic Apostolate is also very present with Pallottine Sisters ministering along with the priests, brothers, and laity.

Located in the heart of Baltimore's famous Little Italy, Saint Leo the Great Church (http://www.littleitalymd.com has the mix of an inner-city church with an old-world charm. The Pallottines at this church help to host the annual Festival of Saint Gabriel and Festival of Saint Anthony. The Pallottines also engage in a variety of other ministries to the people of Little Italy, including the Rev. Oreste Pandola, S.A.C. Adult Learning Center. Here, they offer classes in the Italian language, for adults and children, health education, G.E.D. classes, cooking classes (Mediterranean cooking and bread baking), computer instruction, art classes, and American citizenship preparation. The parish community is also involved in community outreach to the poor.

Saint Jude Shrine (http://www.stjudeshrine.org)
Saint Jude Shrine is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, Maryland. It draws visitors from across the country and around the world. The Pallottines ministering at Saint Jude Shrine provide hope to those seeking Saint Jude's intercession. They have an ever-changing, ever-growing congregation, and face the challenges of a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, and multi-lingual membership. Pallottine priests and brothers at Saint Jude Shrine minister to "the faithful of every class, rank, and condition," as commissioned by Saint Vincent Pallotti through an active liturgical life, community outreach, lectures, concerts, young adult programming, and days of retreats.

At the other Pallottine apostolates in the Immaculate Conception Province, the priests and brothers share Saint Vincent Pallotti's message of hope in God's Eternal Love: "Seek God and you will find God. Seek God in all things and you will find God everywhere." They carry out this message by works in prison ministry, retreats, youth and young adult ministry, lay ministry formation, and hospital/military chaplaincies. The love of Christ truly does urge on the ministries of the Pallottines of the the Immaculate Conception Province.
