We invite you to experience our lifestyle. We believe that the well-being of each person can be found only in a journey of faith. Through sharing with others in community, prayer, and ministry, we are led to a sense of fulfillment. Our strength comes from the community; we recognize that together, we can reach communal fulfillment beyond any individual expectations. The Pallottines do not take vows, but instead make sacred promises. We promise consecrated celibacy, poverty, obedience, perseverance, the sharing of resources, and spirit of service. These promises are a sign of the desire to live in a community devoted to the service of God.
Two Paths: Pallottine Brothers and Pallottine Fathers
There are two concurrent paths for vocations within the Pallottine. Whether one is discerning to become a priest or a brother, all men in formation go through the postulancy and formation of becoming a Pallottine. After one makes his perpetual promises, a Pallottine Brother will become engaged in full-time ministry, while a Pallottine seminarian will continue on in preparation for his diaconate and priestly ordination. Pallottine Fathers and Brothers work together in the Society of the Catholic Apostolate to continue to bring about St. Vincent Pallotti's goals of reviving faith and rekindling charity for all members of the faithful. The entire Society is grounded in collaboration between both religious and the laity.
Discerning God's Call: What is Vocation?
When the Church uses the word “vocation,” what does it mean? How does the term live in the life of the Church? In this webinar, the first of a multi-part series, Fr. Frank Donio S.A.C. and Brian Rhude will examine the Church’s understanding of “vocation,” how it is lived out, and how we accompany one another in our vocational discernment. |
